Group Credit Control Manager

The Role:

We are recruiting for a Credit Control Manager, reporting to the Group Client Money Manager. This person must be very driven and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced change environment with a constant requirement for onboarding and resourcing the central team. Managing a team of 12 with 2 direct report, strong leadership skills are key as well an ability to look at process change and efficiencies within a large team (and multi system) environment.

Location: Based near Retford Train Station, means there are great transports links should you wish to travel by train, car, or bus. We also have free car parking close to the office. Our employee's success isn't measured on time spent in the office, so please talk to us about your flexible working needs to include some working from home.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the core credit control team, with 2 direct reports, and a current total of team of 12 people.
Aid the integration of new acquisitions into the Group central framework, processes, reporting and assess/manage resource
Report and manage aged debt, including producing monthly MI and oversight as well as quarterly Board reporting.
Drive to achieve aged debt KPIs.
Liaise with various stakeholder across the business, including Senior management, business leads and Finance.
Manage different types of customer; direct client and broker businesses and adapt style for the stakeholder.
Liaise with external auditors as appropriate on client money and finance queries.
Participate in the run-off of entities as part of our overall entity rationalisation work, ensuring timely and compliant run off aged debt balances.
Develop and train a growing team as well as appraisals and BAU management.
Develop process improvements and efficiencies to manage increasing volume.
Establish and implement robust controls in line with internal policy.

Experience:

Ability to report to all levels of management within the Group, including internal and external stakeholders.
Good knowledge of IT and ability to work across multiple systems
Experience of leading large teams, and onboarding several companies into a central environment per annum
Strong credit control and management background
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and hit deadlines.
Strong verbal & written communication skill
A team player with a flexible approach, albeit happy to work under regulatory boundaries in a regulated sector.
Ability to work in a fast-paced change environment and be adaptable to different areas of business understanding
