Brand new opportunity to work as a Graduate Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger in a face-paced environment in Gatwick.

Description

Posting supplier invoices and staff expense claims through the purchase ledger. To include correct allocation to the General ledger.
Set up and maintain supplier details and ensure all relevant documentation related to payment of invoices is accurate and attached, such as bank details and company addresses.
Preparing weekly payment runs and sending of remits to suppliers.
Reconciling supplier statements including requesting copies of invoices not received.
To provide point of contact with suppliers and budget holders who may have queries regarding outstanding invoices and assist in resolving these queries.
Liaising with budget holders, staff and suppliers to ensure invoices and expense claims are sent direct to the Accounts department.Profile

Good understanding and experience of the purchase ledger function including posting invoices, staff expense claims, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
Knowledge of UK VAT requirements
Able to work as part of the revenue team, including cover for absent staff.
Maybe working towards and accountancy qualification (AAT)
IT literate, including a good knowledge of Excel and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and generate solutions
Able to provide a high quality service to internal clients.Job Offer
