Funds Credit Analyst

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Funds Credit Analyst for a 6 Month contract based in Marylebone (partly remote).

Purpose of the Role:

The role entails contribution to the credit risk management of a portfolio composed of Regulated Funds or Principals traded through agent, and to a lesser extent Financial Sponsors, Funds of Hedge Funds and Hedge Funds.

As a Funds Credit Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Analyse creditworthiness of assigned portfolio, which includes writing the credit applications and presenting recommendations to the appropriate credit committee
  • Perform due diligences (when necessary).
  • Prepare initial Credit Questionnaire for ISDA/CSA and other legal documents, and negotiation of credit related terms in the legal docs
  • Regular reporting of funds exposures, NAV breaches etc.
  • Monitor permanently the portfolio under his/her responsibility to detect any credit issue requiring a specific review.
  • Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with Trading and Sales and working closely with the other RISK I2S teams and functions.
  • Develop market intelligence and risk expertise within the team. Ensure that available market information and risk issues are communicated to RISK I2S management.
  • Keep abreast of the industry evolution and share any key topics with the team
  • Keep abreast of the changing methodologies and credit policies
  • Participate and represent the team on on-going projects related to systems, procedures and implement best practices

What we require from the candidate:

  • Experience of Fund Credit Analysis within an Investment Bank
  • Knowledge of legal definitions and negotiation onboarding new fund managers
  • Experience of onboarding new managers
  • Experience of Mutual and Regulated Funds
