About the role:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Operations Team Leader to join the team to support service delivery and core activity within the finance operations functions. They are an agile employer - whilst there may be occasions where you are required to attend one of their newly renovated Office Hubs, remote working is here to stay for those who want it.
Your day to day duties will include:
Ensuring that all Finance operations month end activities are carried out in line with their timetable.
Undertaking 121s, and appraisals with the team.
Assisting the Finance Operations Manager with aligning services across all Finance Operation activities
Acting as principal point of contact for team queries
Providing support on Rent Accounting, Payments, Debtors, and Insurance activities
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:
Proven substantial experience in a similar role, including leading both Sales and Purchase Ledger
Experience of successfully supervising and leading a team
Strong accounts experience managing Creditors and Debtors ledgers, cash allocations and billing experience, as well as resolving queries
Excellent organisation skills
Ability to manage, motivate and inspire others
Proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as a good working knowledge of Open accounts or similar financial accounting systems and Purchase order systems
Minimum of 2 A levels or equivalent as well as GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
