An organisation based in central Leeds and operating in the not-for-profit sector has a newly created opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the team and be responsible for the Sales Ledger and Credit Control functions.

The organisation offers flexible options for working from home or the office, and is looking to appoint an experienced Sales Ledger / Credit Control Manager or Team Leader who can deliver on the day to day requirements of the role as well as implement change and process improvements for income management.

We are looking for someone who is able to lead, motivate and develop a team with a focus on continuous service and process improvement.

Duties of the role include:

Day to day management of the income team to provide an accurate and timely income processing service
Management of all sales ledger activities including collections and allocation of banking
Supervision of the billing management system
Development and review of internal controls
Review, develop and maintain income processing policies
Provide regular updates on debt and cash flow to finance colleagues for forecasting and monitoring
Support the Year End and external audit process
Demonstrate effective team management through regular appraisals, competency reviews, feedback and training.The profile of applicant ideally suited to the role is someone with recent experience as a Credit Control or Sales Ledger Team Leader / Manager who can demonstrate change management experience, ideally from a charity, not-for-profit, public sector or care organisation.
