We are looking for a Finance Assistant - Purchase Ledger to join the Finance team at Response. Our main priority for all our roles at Response is to find people that can live our values every day. To be successful in this application it is essential that you have a good standard of GCSEs, up to date knowledge of financial accounting systems, in particular purchase ledger and a minimum of one year's experience working within a purchase ledger team. Knowledge of our finance system, Exchequer and being a part qualified accountant or working towards your accountancy qualification is desirable, but not essential. The duties within any role vary from day to day. Some of the core duties within the role will include:

Processing all supplier invoices onto finance systems, ensuring they are approved in line with company policies

Processing supplier payments in accordance with company policy and supplier payment terms.

Importing BACS payment via internet banking system

Liaising with suppliers to agree payment terms

Reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis, ensuring any missing invoices are obtained and processed

Dealing with supplier queries

Maintain and update purchase ledger database

Input large bundle invoices and coding in Excel spreadsheet and upload to finance system

Processing company credit card statements, obtain receipts and post to finance system

Managing the central email inbox

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, standard hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00-17:00, Friday 09:00-16:00 - flexible working opportunities are available. Salaries vary depending on the role and experiences.
