An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal or Fee Earner to join a prestigious Kent law firm with an outstanding reputation. They have been highly recommended in the Legal 500 and UK Chambers.
The busy debt recovery team of this law firm require the Debt Recovery Manager to work alongside solicitors handling debt recovery matters.
Responsibilities will include:
Producing letters before action is taken
Telephone debt recovery
Tracing debtors using various means
Deal with some mortgage repossession cases
Producing Excel reports
Liaising with debtors through email and telephone correspondence
Reviewing of the paperwork including unpaid invoices
Preparation and drafting of court proceedings
The issuing of the paperwork/claim
Diary management
All clerical duties for the team i.e. photocopying, scanning, binding documents.
Assist other fee earners within the Dispute Resolution
The chosen candidate will:
Have experience within debt recovery essential, having dealt with matters to include enforcement of judgements with minimal supervision
Be working towards their CILEx qualification or already qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive or a Experienced Paralegal or Fee Earner
Have a genuine interest to pursue a career in litigation and debt recovery
Have knowledge of court processes and contract law
Have strong IT skills
Be empathetic when dealing with distressed debtors
