The Debt Collections Advisor is responsible for liaising with external enforcement agents to support the recovery of outstanding debt on customers' accounts. You will be the main point of contact for the debt collection agencies (DCA), Onboarding customers into the DCA model and resolving any issues or disputes provided by the DCA in relation to outstanding balances.
Your main objective will be to provide to support the DCA in the collection of monies owed to the business to avoid any legal action being taken against the customer. If the DCA is unable to collect the outstanding balance, you will support 3rd party partners in preparing documents to support formal legal action and any subsequent defended action. This may involve preparing witness statements or compiling evidence packs etc.
Experience Required
You will be a highly organised and resilient individual with a strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You'll have proven experience in a collections or recoveries role or have a strong background in a customer services role within a utilities business. Experience in telecoms would be highly advantageous.
