The role of the Product Returns & Debt Collection Operations Manager for debt collection services is to ensure the operational integrity of the area, directing and controlling resources, engaging key stakeholders internally and externally and ensure achievement of seamless processes and service levels. This is achieved via a thorough understanding of our customer and business requirements, and ensuring that we recruit and develop teams that have the appropriate training, tools and support to deliver an efficient and unique service offering.

Responsibilities of our Product Returns & Debt Collection Operations Manager include:

Support on the design of the end to end servicing journey

- Ensuring all collections and sales comply with legislative and company requirements, meeting strict KPI's for delivery and performance.

- Coordinate activities of staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient department that reduces the number of cases that are overlooked.

- Oversee the collection of outstanding credit and invoices to minimize profit loss while ensuring it is handled appropriately and per company policy.

- Create and implement strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt.

- Recruit, hire, train and evaluate staff members within the collections department to ensure a sufficient number of staff members are available to handle the workload.

- Develop goals that complement the overarching business goals of the company and coordinate staff to continually meet and exceed goals.

- Design and run reports and analyse data pertaining to the department and share with executive staff and managers of department staff as needed.

- Implement credit policies and procedures.

What we are looking for in our ideal Product Returns & Debt Collection Operations Manager:

- Ability to communicate at different stakeholder levels adjusting detail as fit dependant on level communicating at

- Senior level experience of leading a complex customer contact environment, with an solid understanding of how to achieve optimal performance

- Prior experience leading operational strategy

- Prior experience from within collections, recoveries, debt purchasing is essential

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management

- Previous experience working in a Senior Management role, supporting with collections/debt recovery

- Knowledge of regulations and legal requirements from a collections service
