Credit Risk Officer

What will you be doing?
• Proactively reacting to any change in the Credit Risk outlook whilst also supporting new business initiatives
• Building and maintaining a strong partnership and collaborative approach with all key stakeholders in Coverage, Product, Middle Office and wider risk function
• Ensuring credit risk management is consistent with mandate and scale limits, credit policies, standards and procedures
• Providing an effective and efficient credit risk sanctioning service for the UK platform and producing high quality, clear and concise credit recommendations
• Identifying adverse risks within the portfolio and early engagement / referral to Special Asset Management where appropriate
• Producing high quality and accurate MI for Credit MI central teams and reports on credit book for credit committees, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders
• Participating in broader private bank and risk projects and initiatives.

What we're looking for:
• Excellent track record in credit risk management or credit administration environment with demonstration of an understanding of Risk/Underwriting considerations
• Understanding of behavioral drivers of corporate and private clients and macroeconomic factors, keen analytical mind and sound commercial judgement
• Product knowledge across Corporate, Private Bank and Capital Markets including Mortgages, Real Estate, Lombard Lending
• Understanding of Bank's policies in relation to People, Risk, Governance and Compliance.

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Solid academic background in a mathematical discipline e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Physics etc. or equivalent business experience
• Product knowledge across Corporate, Private Bank and Capital Markets including Mortgages, Real Estate, Lombard Lending
• Effective communication skills with proven ability to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders
• Excellent report writing skills
