About the team:

The Credit Risk function is responsible for the credit quality of mortgage applicants, approvals and existing customers against our approved risk appetite. This is performed by utilising all available data to monitor various credit risk measures, such as customer affordability and value at risk. Additionally, strategy and ad-hoc data analysis is performed to identify opportunities to support the optimisation of business strategy.

What you will be doing:

The key purpose of this role is to undertake regular and ad-hoc Credit Risk analysis for the Risk function and the wider business, supporting the Senior Analysts in the Team with Committee reporting and analytical insights.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Supporting the end to end production of all periodic Credit Risk Management Information reporting
  • Updating Risk team stakeholders with key information on trends and performance
  • Undertaking additional Credit Risk analysis to draw insights from portfolio and explain trends or early warning signs
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing reporting suite, reacting to new and emerging trends and/or Management/Regulatory requirements
  • Support critical Credit Risk analytical work streams such as Risk Appetite setting and monitoring
  • Provide analytical support to the wider Risk function as and when required.

In return for your commitment:

We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £25-30,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Could you be the one?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience/knowledge and qualifications set out below:

  • Experience working in a Credit Risk function for a bank is desirable
  • Advanced understanding of mathematical and statistical techniques is essential, along with advanced skills in Excel/VBA
  • Degree qualification in a numerical discipline (Maths, Physics, Economics etc.)
  • Knowledge of Credit Risk fundamentals at all stages of the Credit Risk Lifecycle is desirable
