Credit Policy & Review Manager

J2 Recruitment is seeking a highly detailed and analytical Credit Policy and Review Manager for one of its banking clients to work in Hertfordshire. In the department of Credit Underwriting, you will report to the Director of Credit & Underwriting and maintain the Lending & Credit Policies of their Bank ensuring they are appropriate and aligned to the Bank\'s risk appetite strategy.

As a Credit Policy and Review Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

Owning the Lending and Credit Policy, ensuring any proposed, approved, changes are documented correctly and taken through appropriate Governance.
Reviewing existing lending book and providing recommendations to Credit Committee and EXCO to review and change Credit policies as appropriate to align to economic risk factors and competitive market conditions.
Supporting the Director of Credit and Underwriting/Head of Credit in undertaking regular oversights and assurance of the delegated authority approvals by Underwriters to ensure the policies are being applied appropriately.

The successful Credit Policy and Review Manager candidate will work with the EXCO and Senior leadership and work closely with the Credit and Underwriting team. You will maintain at all times the Bank\'s high standard for ensuring colleagues and customers are dealt with swiftly and fairly, ensuring full consideration is given to the company\'s brand values and for customer and colleague experience and outcomes.

Do you have the following core commercial credit underwriter skills?

Ideally educated to a degree level or at least 5+ years Credit Risk experience within financial services
Credit Policy experience in writing, maintaining and implementing new policies and strategies
Credit underwriting experience and oversight experience
IFS or similar qualification
