Our client is an established wholesaler into a large, well-known retail and e-commerce customer base. Due to continued success, the business is now looking for a Credit Controller to join their team. This is a superb opportunity to work within a hugely passionate and friendly team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a finance department, with an analytical mind and a high level of attention to detail. This role would best suit a self-motivated and driven individual who is a natural 'people person'.

Please note: There is an option for hybrid working, but the role will be mainly officed based. The hours are Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 2pm.

Main responsibilities:

  • Reconciling the sales ledger on their Amazon account looking into unallocated postings.
  • Upload invoices onto the Vendor Central (Amazon website).
  • Process receipts, allocating them to the correct invoices.
  • Investigate any underpayments and understand the reasons for them.
  • Dispute with Amazon and/or process the necessary information onto SAP.
  • Process credit notes relating to claims.
  • Upload disputes onto Vendor Central and liaise with Amazon to rectify.
  • Liaise with our logistics company requesting any supporting documentation requested by Amazon - POD's etc…
  • Once certain accounts are clear, ensure the ongoing maintenance of such Amazon accounts.
  • Take on additional accounts for the purpose of credit control - posting and allocating payments, liaising with the customer about any underpayments made, posting credits as necessary, reconciling the accounts.

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a Finance Department.
  • Previous B2B (Business to Business) Credit Control (or similar) experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills (VLookup, Pivot Tables etc).
  • Extremely organised, with a naturally analytical mind and excellent attention to detail.
  • A 'can do' attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders regarding payments.
  • SAP knowledge desirable but not essential.
  • A working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central (not essential).
