The Position

We are currently looking to recruit a Credit Controller to be based within the Property Management department at our head office in Loughton.

The Credit Controller will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of Ground Rent, Commercial Rent and Service Charges. This role requires a diligent, organised, and professional individual with excellent communication skills.

This particular position is based with Property Management Matters, who are the in-house property management service charge company for Galliard Homes.

Duties include:

  • Chasing debtors by phone and email and reporting debts to management.
  • Dealing with all incoming enquiries from leaseholders such as providing copy invoices, updating correspondence details, dealing with executors, agreeing payment plans etc.
  • Taking card payments over the phone and processing daily receipts accurately.
  • Communicating effectively with the Property Managers over lessee's concerns, instigating legal action when appropriate and advising leaseholders of legal action taken.
  • Attending court infrequently if required.
  • General administration such as obtaining Land Registry documents when needed.

The Person:

  • Must have previous experience within a Credit Controller role.
  • Must have the ability to remain polite and professional when dealing with challenging leaseholders.
  • The ideal candidate will have a good understand of the property industry, especially leaseholds.
  • Good administration skills and an aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • A second language, such as Mandarin, would be beneficial but not essential.
