Credit Controller - Glasgow City Centre (hybrid working)

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Search Consultancy's Central Support function for a Credit Controller to join the well established Credit Control department.

Reporting to the Credit Control Team Manager under the guidance of the Financial Controller, the Credit Controller is responsible for a ledger of approx £2m value.

The Support Division is a well-established and energetic team that strives to meet all targets set within an extremely fast paced-environment, providing full administration support to the UK wide business across various specialist divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with client to ensure prompt payment, by either telephone or email
  • Working closely with the Team Manger to ensure all emails are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Prior to month-end close ensure un-allocated cash is reviewed and passed to Cash & Bank team for allocations
  • Monthly Statement run
  • Match/ Promise event to be completed for all allocations and detailed notes in Topaz for any unable to be applied
  • Liaising with Consultants/Managers when required
  • All correspondence is dealt with - emails/letter
  • Assist in other Department related tasks, as required

Requirements

  • Experience in a fast paced credit control environment
  • Knows MS packages, Excel & Word
  • Knowledge of AP/AR processing
  • Effecting communication skills
  • Accurate and good attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
