We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join the team at a multifaceted organisation based in Chorley.
The successful candidates will have various responsibilities, including managing the debts of the business and having overall responsibility of the Sales Ledger. You will also handle credit assessments, payment terms and be involved in decisions regarding contract terms and conditions.
You must be a strong critical thinker, with excellent decision making skills and your work will play a major role in mitigating credit risk. You will work closely with the sales and marketing departments to implement an effective credit control system and manage the day to day running of the sales ledger.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:-
* Managing the debts of the business
* Check Customers Credit and approve or deny credit terms
* Ensure customers pay on time and in line with their payment terms and conditions
* Improve and implement debt collection processes when there are overdue invoices or payments and initiate legal proceedings if necessary.
* Process fortnightly and monthly invoices and ensure correct input in to the finance system.
* Manage up front payments and credit card payments from customers
* Process bank transactions
* Banking cash and cheques
* Bank reconciliations
* Payroll Experience
