Credit Controller

Description:

We're expanding our Finance Team and are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for all things Finance to join us as a Credit Controller.

The Role:

To manage the collection of outstanding debt, minimise overdue debt. Liaise with customers and branches on issues that may hinder the timely debt collection process. Liaise with senior staff on any credit violations.

This means you'll focus on:

  • To ensure debts are collected when falling due.

  • To ensure all outstanding invoice queries are resolved and collected expediently by liaising with the Branch and/or customer and that all relevant resolutions are documented

  • To ensure that any high-risk accounts and brought to the attention of the Supervisor or Credit Manager.

  • Review of accounts that have exceeded credit limits, where appropriate liaise with senior staff.

  • To identify key issues, such as recurring disputes, and recommend resolution, implement, monitor, report.

This is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.

This means you could be based in Corby, Coventry, Hinckley, Kettering, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Loughborough, Lutterworth, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Northampton, Nuneaton, Oundle, Peterborough, Rugby, Rushden, Tamworth, Wellingborough, as well as Crick itself.

Required skills and competencies:

  • Previous experience working within Credit Control.

  • Superb communications skills both written and verbal.

  • Excellent excel and word knowledge required.

  • Good time management, planning & organisational skills.

  • Enthusiastic, with a willingness to help those around you.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Credit Controller, Finance Assistant, Office Manager, Finance Executive, Construction, Building Products.
