Position: Credit Controller

Location: Loughborough

Salary: £22000 - £25000

Hours: Monday to Friday 08.30- 5pm with 30 minute lunch

Our client is a global supplier since 1860 of stylish and fantastic quality home, garden and leisure products. Not only do they sell directly to consumers, they work with equally established high street brands such as Next, Aldi, Sainsbury's and Wilko to name a few. They have a need for a credit controller to join the finance team.

We are looking for a credit controller who is experienced within the manufacturing industry (advantageous) to assist the finance team in meeting the transaction processing needs of the sales ledger department. This includes ensuring all customers pay to terms through effective and timely credit control.

The Responsibilities of the Credit Controller is:

To ensure customers are communicated with on a weekly basis in line with the Sidetrade workflow and all assigned tasks are completed on a daily basis.
To review customers credit limits on a regular basis in line with payment profile
To open new sales ledger accounts within the accounting system, once appropriately credit checked and authorised in line with company authorisation limits.
To post daily bank receipts to the accounting system
To administer debit notes for back haul, rebates and other customer deductions on a weekly basis.
To enter sales invoices and credit notes on customer portals.
To raise all appropriately authorised credit notes on a daily basis, accurately booking items into stock if required.
To manage customer queries, providing proof of deliveries were required, investigating shortages, price discrepancies and any other query and raising credits once authorised.
Support the quarterly bank audit process by providing copy documentation and report narrative.The Requirements of the Credit Controller is:

Experience of transacting in credit control, foreign currency and of working in a busy transaction processing team and experience of general ledger coding.
Efficient, effective and highly organised. An ability to follow instructions accurately, accurate posting and a neatness of work.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
