Credit Controller

We are recruiting for a Credit Controller for our reputable client supplying heating and plumbing equipment to businesses Nationwide.

Main Duties

To work with minimum supervision collecting overdue accounts

To handle disputed accounts and ensure customers pay within payment terms

To record all information on the accounting package (SAPB1)

To maintain files where necessary

To ensure that invoice queries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely fashion

To liaise with Customer Care department in respect of requested credit notes

To liaise with Sales (external/internal) in respect of requested credit notes

To ensure customer statements are despatched/posted within 5 working days of the start of each month

To advise sales, accounts manager of customers who are \'on stop\' and prepare necessary documentation, 7-day letters, weekly.

Identify and allocate all receipts (BACS and cheques) onto SAPB1 in accordance with customer payment requests

Contact customers regarding remittance advices when necessary

Maintain daily receipt files to ensure information can be found quickly and efficiently

Complete paying in books for cheque payments

Download aged debtors list into Excel to use as working document

Maintain (SAPB1) notes on customers to ensure good customer working relationship

Contact customers to ensure payments are made in time and to identify reasons for non payment of invoices

To ensure effective communication within and across departments

To ensure effective team working within and across departments

To ensure effective contribution to the continuous improvement process

To contribute to identification of own training needs

To adhere to all company Health and Safety procedures

To ensure compliance with all other company policies and procedures
