Walters People have partnered with a leading organisation based in Central Birmingham who are looking for a Credit Controller on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role due the continued growth of the business.

Reporting into the Credit Manager this position would best suit a candidate with the ability to work accurately under pressure and is proactive in managing ever changing workloads.

Key Responsibilities as the Credit Controller:
* You will assist with the revenue creation and collection function for business customers
* Assisting the Senior Income officer in the Credit Control function for a growing ledger
* Responding to external and internal communications via phone and email and assisting with high volume of face to face/phone interactions with customers
* Prioritising collection of revenue, issuing instalment plans and minimising risk to maximise cash flow for the business
* Working within set criteria, and escalating to the line manager when necessary
* Advising and assisting customers with Finance queries
* Data Analysis

About you as the Credit Controller:
* Understanding of Finance Function within a business.
* Ideally a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Proven great customer service skills with high level communication
* High standard of literacy and numeracy
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Methodical and accurate with a proven ability to focus on detail.
* Database management experience

This role is best suited to a credit controller with 2+ years' experience who is self-motivated and driven, is versatile and flexible to adapt to new tasks and has a calm and composed approach to maintain positive approach in high stress environments.
