Salary: Approx £26k - £27k

INTRO:

V Selective are recruiting a Credit Controller for an International FMCG client based near Coalville in Leicestershire Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Credit Controller will be responsible for maintaing an effective and professional credit control system for the company, and maximising cash inflow to the business by actively chasing prompt payments from customers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

* Review the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.

* Manage the outstanding sales balances falling due and contact customers before the balances become overdue to confirm payments.

* Set and monitor credit limits.

* Where required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.

* Keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques.

* Regular customer contact by phone, fax and email

* Calling clients in order to collect outstanding monies, investigating and resolving any related issues.

* Set up payment plans when required to secure debt

* Promptly allocate credit notes

* Consignment stock invoicing

* Raising Credit notes for appropriate approval

CANDIDATE PROFILE

* High standard of Microsoft Excel skills required.

* Must be numerate

* Able to demonstrate experience within Credit Control with proven track record on aged debt reduction.

* Experience of providing Credit Control to organisations with a turnover in excess of £50m.

* Excellent negotiation skills

* Credit control qualification or QBE considered

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Previous experience with FMCG related sector benefical but not essential

* Team player.

* Ability to work in a team environment and happy to deal with high volumes

* Reliable and flexible with strong work ethic.

* Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to variable workload.

* Can work in a fast paced environment, deal with with pressure

* Highly organised with an ability to multi-task and manage own time.

* Pro-active and can- do attitude required.
