Ideal Recruit are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our clients fast growing family run business.

We are looking to recruit on a full-time basis to work within a hardworking, fast-paced, fun and professional Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working within a team of Credit Controllers, duties will include:

* Ensuring customers pay within agreed terms and enforcing Company policy otherwise

* Daily allocation of high-volume receipts to the Sales ledger and account reconciliations

* Chasing and successfully collecting overdue debts across a large ledger

* Safeguard business against risk of aged debt following the escalation process

* Ensuring Department KPIs are delivered in line with targets

* Liaising with Credit Insurers and Credit agencies to maximise insurance cover

* Building good rapport and relations with customers

* Liaising closely with internal teams such as Transport and Sales as required

* Processing authorised new customer account forms and any updates

* Ensuring policies and procedures are applied and maintained to timescales and standards

* Observing month end deadlines

* Covering for Cashier as required

* Other ad hoc duties as required to support the MD, FC, Finance team, wider business

Key Requirements:

* Proven well rounded Credit Control experience and thorough understanding of credit control and its functions

* Customer focussed approach, dealing efficiently and effectively with all contacts

* Strong communication and negotiation skills

* Experience of SAP B1 is desirable

* Ability to work autonomously and within wider Finance team and business

* Sound numerical skills and attention to detail

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Performs well under pressure and exhibits outstanding time management skills

* Experience working within a similar Finance role / business environment is desirable

* Pro-active and inquisitive approach with an abundance of drive and self-motivation

* Commercially aware and able to liaise with staff at all levels across the business

* Proficient computer user (MS office packages)

* Able to pass criminal checks

This is a Temporary on going role but could be permanent for the right candidate
