Credit Controller

Description:

Open GI is a leading software development company and a trusted partner to the general insurance industry. Based across the UK and Europe, our support and development services make us a truly diverse organisation that offers a range of IT solutions to insurance brokers, insurers and managing general agents.

We are looking for a Credit Controller to support with collecting outstanding monies owed to Open GI and subsidiaries for goods and services supplied.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maximisation of cash receipts and reduction in debtor days of all Company Ledgers:

* Performance is measured by total cash collected, debtor days and reduction in 90 day+ debts.

* Communication with Customers by Telephone, Email and Letter to ensure payments are made within agreed payment terms.

* Updating the Sales Ledger accounts to make sure the Customer notes are kept up to date.

* Broker Statement reconciliation.

* Identifying and resolving any disputes, liaising with the relevant departments to resolve any queries in a timely manner.

* Covering other Credit Controllers ledgers in their absence.

Experience

* Minimum of 1 year Finance/Credit Control experience in a high volume processing environment.

Skills

* Ability to work under pressure.

* Good communication skills (written, telephone and face to face).

* Use of internal systems to analyse and understand client accounts, invoicing and system details.

* Ability to assess client situation and action accordingly.

* Ability to promote and police the credit control policies internal and external.

* Good keyboard /computer skills (essential), together with knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
