Credit Controller

Description:

A National Manufacturer based in Elland are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their Finance Deprtment in Elland. THe role will be heavily focused on Excel and therefore a strong competence in this package will be a distinct advantage.
The Role -
* Chase debt via various media (telephone, email etc.)
* Use a bespoke computerised system
* Extensive use of Excel & Word - strong competence required
* Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity, including diarising of all customer correspondence, using the diary and task system
* Scanning of documents, for Electronic filing system
* Deal with incoming post & e-mails.
* Chase customers for order numbers to enable invoices to be paid.
* Deal with small and large volume accounts with differing methods of receiving purchase ledger invoices.
* Monthly Reconciliation of accounts
* Deal with difficult customers.
* Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries.
* Take credit card payment.
* Maintenance of customer portals
Qualities:
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Good keyboard skills and competence of Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
* High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail
* Reliable, conscientious, and structured
* A team player with a flexible approach and willingness to learn.
* A pleasant telephone manner
* Strong organisational & time management skills
* Use initiative and be pro-active to achieve goals!
* Experience of large/National volume customer accounts an advantage
