Credit Controller
Regional and City Airports is currently looking for a part-time Credit Controller on a permanent contract to join our existing team in Exeter. The Financial Department is very busy but a very friendly department. You will be working closely with other members of the Financial team in Exeter and Bournemouth. Working 22.5hours per week.
Start date asap.
Credit Controller Duties Involve:
* Obtain the prompt payment of sales invoices through the production of monthly customer statements and the polite but effective communication with customers via telephone, email & letter
* Establish a good customer rapport through regular customer contact
* Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
* Handle disputed invoices swiftly to obtain payment within agreed terms
* Banking cash receipts and maintaining cash receipt records.
* Renegotiate payments terms, if required and as agreed by line management. Initiate formal collection processes including legal proceeding in collaboration with senior management.
* Maintain accurate records of all debt collection activity within the financial software. Ensure the sales ledger data is kept up to date at all times with the most accurate information. Undertake regular account reconciliations.
* Undertake other finance tasks as required from time to time to assist in the general functioning of the department.

Credit Controller Skills/Experience:
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at grade C or above
* Demonstrable recent experience of accounts receivable and credit control processes including active debtor management by telephone, post and email
* Ability to use initiative to understand and resolve problems effectively and efficiently to achieve objectives
* Ability to prioritize and manage own workload while working as part of team
* Resilience and A positive approach to continuous improvement
* Ability to reconcile complex accounts with excellent attention to detail
* A calm and confident communicator, able to deal with a range of customer queries in a professional and polite manner
* Resilient, with a positive approach to continuous improvement
* PC literate - Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to receive and present data form information system
