South Staffordshire College are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Credit Controller to be based at their Rodbaston Campus

This is a part time / permanent role, 24 hours per week.

Role responsibilities
The Finance department require a Credit Controller to….
*Collect debts in an efficient manner, considering circumstances with may require a more empathetic approach
*Maintain contact with debtors to ensure invoices are paid promptly
*Resolve complex issues and queries that prevent collection of payments
*Liaise with colleagues to discuss support and share knowledge on a regular basis
*Liaise with external debt recovery agencies
*Negotiate with students and companies regarding repayment plans
*Check customer credit ratings
*Reconcile and review monthly aged debtors report

The Person & Qualifications
*establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally,
*have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to reconcile accounts, with excellent attention to detail.
*have a calm and confident manner and be able to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations.
*have a good working knowledge of Excel
*have prior experience within a credit control team.
