Credit Controller - B2C

I am currently working exclusively with a consumer lending business based in East London, who are seeking an experienced credit controller to manage one of their key ledgers. Working in a team of five, you will take full responsibility for upwards of £1M over 400+ accounts, and be an individual who enjoys bringing a methodical and process driven approach to your work.

Key responsibilities and duties

Ownership of entire customer collection process, which includes:
Liaising with other areas of the business to ensure accurate and timely issue of invoices
Sending regular reminders to customers via phone, email and SMS
Drafting and sending out various letters, such as legal action letters
Running various credit checks on customers to assess their ability to settle any arrears
Negotiating payment plans with customers
Instructing external debt collection agencies and solicitors when all internal debt collection avenues have been exhausted
Management of external debt collections agencies and solicitors, monitoring their progress against agreed timetables
Maintaining debt collection process tracker, regularly reporting progress to senior managementSkills and experience required

Experience in B2C credit control
Experience in FCA regulated debt collection processes is highly desirable e.g. return of goods orders, etc
Excellent organisation and communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work autonomously and methodically through the collection process
Works well as part of a team
