My clients a well established freight forwarding company seeking an experienced Credit Controller / Accounts Assistant to join their busy team.

Duties would include:

  • Manage the sales ledger and be responsible for credit collections, ensuring that a credit and collections are met
  • Allocating payments
  • Assist financial controller with VAT returns
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • Analyse and process credit card usage on sage
  • Coding and entering purchase ledger invoices onto sage and SIGMA
  • Load currency cards ( Caxton) assist with collating receipts
  • Liaising with purchase ledger and sales ledger team
  • Sales invoice filing and assist with year end filing and archiving
  • Bank and cash received
  • Handling client accounts
  • Credit check new account

Skills needed:

  • Proven credit controller experience
  • Courier/ Freight accounting knowledge preferred
  • Steady work history
  • Good experience in sage and sigma
  • PC literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Good commutation skills

Working hours:

Monday- Friday 09:00-17:30
