Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a rare and exciting opportunity for a Credit Control Team Leader to join a leading manufacturing company based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield area as they look to expand their growing and friendly accounts receivable team.

This is a fantastic role that will provide the successful candidate with a wealth of exposure across credit control, query management and team leadership whilst also offering long term progression! You will be required to work closely with the Accounts Receivable Manager to support in overseeing a team of 8 Credit Controllers and will act as the escalation point for the team with any complex queries or support they may need.

Duties & Responsible will include (but not limited to):

* Provide cover to the AR Manager role
* Assist the AR Manager in leading the team to collect the AR ledgers across the business units
* Assist in production and reporting of key information on the AR
* Hands on resolving issues with the customers across the various ledgers and systems
* Managing customer limits and terms
* Support the team to actively collect the debt on accounts which have significant issues to resolve or where past due is significantly aged
* Working with the other departments in the business to resolve issues and improve processes
* Harmonize processes and controls across the various systems and standardize documentation
* Ensure all aspects of role remain compliant with SOX
* Raising credit notes in accordance with internal processes
* Assist in producing weekly/ monthly account overview on the ledgers

Experience & Skills:

* 3+ Years of Credit Control Experience
* Good Standard of Education; At Lead Maths and English to level C or above
* A track record of delivering accurate work on time and in a fast-paced environment
* Able to demonstrate team building skills and being a team player
* Good verbal and written communicator at all levels and in varying situations
* Thorough understanding of Financial Systems and Reporting
* Good Attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills
* Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline
* Team working skills
* Manufacturing sector experience would be desirable
* SOX Experience would be advantageous
* SAGE or Microsoft AX system experience
