Credit Control Team Leader

Broster Buchanan are recruiting for a Credit Control Team Leader to be based in Peterborough, hybrid remote working is available.

Role Responsibilities

* Line management of a team of Fees & Credit Control Administrators. Motivating, training and directing the team to ensure they follow consistent department procedures and meet the strategic objectives and targets set
* Drive the team on a day-to-day basis to ensure billing is issued in an efficient, timely and accurate basis and cash is collected when due. This will involve running reports, scheduling work prioritises and monitoring output.
* Act as key point of expertise for operational activities, including resolving queries.

Person Specification

* Experience of working in a highly demanding accounts receivable & billing department
* Experience of line management & leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Excellent knowledge and experience of ICT systems, particularly Word & Excel - vlookups.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to explain sensitive matters to people on a personal level
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Very good attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
* Flexible and adaptable to changing environment with the ability to be proactive and strategic in their breadth of thinking and reasoning bringing new ideas and enthusiasm to the department as the group continues to grow
* Ability to deliver results through others and to meet strict deadlines and KPI's
* Excellent organisational & customer service skills
* Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to generate ideas and support wider delivery of continuous improvement projects
