Credit Control Manager, Global Consumer, North London, £40k

Have you had over 3 years experience in an Accounts Recievable or Credit Control role? We have a great opportunity for a finalist, or newly qualified accountant with strong financial accounting skills, looking to join a well-known, award winning consumer brand. Our client are a family owned business turning over £120mil per year and have huge growth plans for the future!

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and directly managing the UK Wholesale clerk you will have full ownership of Sales Ledger and Credit Control process and be a key team member working closely with the other finance areas to ensure alignment and adherence to good accounting practice and internal control. The role also gives you exposure to the E-commerce platform and order processing for the national accounts.


  • Ensure new customer set-up processes is followed by company personnel, gaining the relevant manager approval, and credit checks before entering new supplier into SAP.
  • Allocate customer receipts via the bank, to the relevant customer account in SAP
  • Regularly review aged debtors, clearing/processing any credit balances in a timely manner. Agree with Senior Finance Manager actions for outstanding/aged balances.
  • Proactively liaise with Sales team for invoices in query to obtain their swift resolution
  • Manage queries with customers to ensure accounts are accurate and complete, maintaining good on-going relationships.
  • Maintain customer files within SAP, to ensure they are up to date and accurate
  • Proactively look are ways to improve efficiency in the AR area, particularly the usage of SAP and automation.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager and Head of Finance with any ad hoc work or projects.
  • Ensure E-Commerce sales/invoices are raised and reconciled with payments on a regular basis. Particularly Chinese E-Commerce sales.
  • Proactively problem sole any timing or interface issues with the external partners
  • Process all UK wholesale orders received direct or via EDI daily
  • Update SAP customer master file with latest sales prices, and promotional prices
  • Manage the Amazon Advance Shipment Notifications in line with the customers requirements
  • Support the company with the stocking of the sample room, placing orders as required
  • Process internal and external sample requests

About you:

  • A professional qualification: AAT, ACCA/CIMA qualified or finalist
  • Previous experience working in an Accounts Receivable and Credit Control role
  • Excellent attention to detail and administration skills
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be IT literate: Microsoft suite
  • Good team player
  • Proactive, self starter
  • Influencing skills
