About the CompanyKennedyPearce are excited to be partnering with a growing FMCG business who are currently undergoing both a huge growth period as well as an exciting restructure. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Credit Manager will be responsible for managing and guiding a team with national exposure.

The Candidate

Are you personable and customer focused with strong Credit Management?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the Credit Management function with a focus on management of payment collections, including from designated Key Accounts, and minimising Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and bad and doubtful debts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring that team are invoicing, collecting debt to terms, and reconciling accounts to resolve problems.
  • Lead an effective in-house debt recovery service
  • Manage senior queries and call escalations
  • Manage, set and deliver appropriate performance targets for the Credit Control team in conjunction with senior team
  • Ensure that the team are communicating with customers in an effective way (ie phone as well as email etc)

OTHER DUTIES:

  • In addition to managing the performance of the overall team you will be personally responsible for your own ledgers, chasing outstanding invoices where appropriate by telephone/mail.
  • Maintain accurate notes on system relating to all invoices.
  • Investigating and resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
  • To interact with order processing/customer service and distribution to ensure all outstanding queries are resolved within the agreed timescale and escalated according to our current procedures.
  • Ensuring monthly comprehensive reconciliations are completed and maintained on all accounts, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • To provide holiday/sickness cover for other members of the department

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 5 + years leading the Credit Management or Accounts Receivable function.
  • A 'can do attitude' and ability to build relationships across different levels of the business.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and follow up skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and also contribute to team objectives.
