About Our Client

The business are a leading Housing and Care provider in England.

Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Income Team Manager

Ensure the effective day to day operational management of the income processing function, adhering to service level agreements and processes

Motivate and support the income team to maximise income collection

Exercise internal controls highlight errors and take action to rectify them where necessary.

Prepare procedure notes to agreed standard ensuring that these are reviewed regularly and are up to date.

Overall responsibility for the collection and management of all non housing debt.

Supervise and monitor staff performance and where appropriate and necessary carry out performance management.

Provide monthly aged debt report reconciled to the balance sheet and provide debt provision report on a monthly basis with reasons for debt.

Ensure the effective set up and collection of direct debits and card payments for all debtors, including ensuring compliance with PCI-DSS and other regulations

Working with Operational colleagues and external customers to ensure cash collection is maximised and invoicing accurate

Be aware of and follow policies and procedures, with particular attention to standards of customer service, health and safety, and equality and diversity

The Successful Applicant

The successful Income Team Manager will have:

Experience of either leading a credit control function or performed a credit control role previously

Proven experience of managing a team in a challenging environment

Demonstrates a sensitive and supportive approach to vulnerable people maintaining their dignity and self respect at all times.

Proven customer service experience.

Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines.

Excellent oral and written communications.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience of using Oracle finance system (highly desirable)
