We are looking for a Credit Controller to join a successful and rapidly expanding business based in Skelmersdale. This role offers great progression with the opportunity to learn month end and period end processes with a hybrid working model of 2 -3 day max in the office and 1pm finish on a Friday.
DUTIES:
You will build strong working relationships with customers to effectively manage and control debtors within agreed policies and procedures.
Ensure that customer payments are received to terms and accounts are maintained within authorised credit limits.
Achieve cash collection and debtors' targets and complete daily allocation of customer receipts.
Ensure all monthly statements and reports are run and distributed without delay.
Process all customer credit notes.
Timely collection of outstanding debts, control of credit limits and timely resolution of queries
Authorisation of customer/supplier set up and amendments in line with departmental controls, ensuring internal procedures are regularly reviewed to ensure prevention of fraud.
Key requirements
Experience in a similar position where you will have managed collections on a large volume of customer accounts (approx. 1000).
Strong negotiation and influencing skills at all levels, with a proven track record in query and conflict resolution.
Proficient in Microsoft packages - especially Excel
Ability to work in a busy and fast paced environment
Demonstrates a strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
