We are currently recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area, this is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for clear progression within a well-established multinational business.

Job title: Credit Controller

Salary: £26,000 per annum

Start date: ASAP

Duration: Full Time Permanent Position

Location: Swindon

The purpose of this role is to ensure customer payments are received in a timely manner, dealing with all necessary queries. Liaising with all departments to ensure queries are dealt with promptly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Checking customer's credit ratings
  • Setting up New Accounts and ensuring that the correct paperwork has been received
  • Maintaining existing Customer files and database
  • Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments
  • Meet cash and debtor day monthly targets
  • Ensure that monthly processing procedures are met as required
  • Send out monthly Customer Statements
  • Chase overdue Invoices by telephone, email & letter within agreed timescale
  • Raise deferred revenue invoices for BT
  • Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment
  • Provide the customer with account reconciliations as and when required
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
  • Identify changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert a bad debt
  • Ensuring good relations and communications with all members of the team, internally and externally

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years credit control experience and a good level of Microsoft Excel skills. Also the ability to to reconcile complex accounts and have excellent attention to detail.
