Credit Control and Expenses Manager - Fintech 'Unicorn' Start-up - Fully remote - Life changing pre-IPO equity!

An exclusive Credit Control and Expenses Manager role for one of the fastest growing Fintech's in the world!

Founded in 2018 in San Francisco, the business already has operations in 50 countries (with plans to enter 80 by next year) and has 200X in valuation this year alone, with 40% monthly revenue growth and reaching 'Unicorn' status in only 3 years with a valuation of $5.5Bn!

Due to this growth they now need an established Credit Control and Expenses Manager, with potential oversight for 80+ subsidiaries globally.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will report directly into, and present numbers, to the Corporate Controller
  • Help to set up and establish a credit control and expenses function.
  • Centralise all credit control processes across the whole company
  • Credit cards reconciliation - monitor the transactions, make sure invoices are received, saved and recorded
  • Supplier communication, including reconciliation of payment and invoice discrepancies, securing forms as needed (withholding tax, W-9, bank account confirmations).
  • Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments while maintaining a high level of customer retention
  • Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the AR team
  • Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO
  • Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are followed within your team

Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • At least 4 years of experience implementing credit and expenses processes
  • Strong knowledge in implementing, growing and centralising a global Credit and Expenses process
  • Adaptable personality able to flourish in a hyper-growth dynamic start-up environment
  • Experience in a fin-tech business
  • Smart, energetic and independent
  • Strong excel skills
