Job Purpose

To deliver a quality service and product to our stakeholders across the company in line with their requirements, by working with the other Finance teams and applying ISG culture, systems and procedures. Specifically, to deliver first class credit assessments across the ISG UK Divisions to minimise financial risk from clients when there is no credit insurance in place and to provide assessments on the financial standing of the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Perform financial analysis on prospective employers and clients, make recommendations to the Divisional management based on the analysis carried out and be a key part of the credit appraisal process.

In addition to reviewing new and potential clients monitor existing credit accounts for any developing issues to minimise default risk.

Perform financial analysis and assessment of proposed and existing organisations in the supply chain so that management can minimise the financial risk due to financial failure of any component of the supply chain.

Standardise the process, method of credit assessment, justification and documentation of the decisions made by the ISG UK operations.

Manage the Dun and Bradstreet relationship and work with the UK Divisions to optimise the ratings.

Ensure that turnaround time requirements are met.

Assist with any client or supply chain audits if required.

Qualifications

Either hold Chartered Institute of Credit Management Advanced level qualification or be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA). 3 years post qualification experience essential.

Systems knowledge important (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Nav, Jet reports).

Skills & Experiences

A structured and organised approach to work, self-motivated with the ability to manage own workload meeting deadlines and ensuring successful completion of tasks.

Be able to analyse credit data and financial statements and arrive at valid recommendations even where presented with incomplete information.

Minimum of 3 years experience in credit and collections.

Knowledge of bonds and guarantees along with other legal proceedings and court actions to recover overdue accounts.

Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Able to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems.

Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Team player who encourages collaboration, welcomes challenges to achieve greater results.

Precise attention to detail.

Ability to adapt and respond well to change.

Strong technical accounting skills are a must.

Experience in large/mid size businesses and the construction industry advantageous
