Debt Collections Services UK Ltd (DCS) works with businesses across the UK to retrieve money owed to our clients by customers. We are looking for an experienced Collections Advisor/Credit Controller to join our small, friendly and dedicated team.
About the Role
As a Collections Advisor/Credit Controller, you will be speaking to customers to chase overdue accounts and agree appropriate repayment plans, dealing with both consumer and business-to-business debt.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating sustainable repayment agreements for customers by assessing affordability and agreeing the best outcome for the customer. * Reviewing existing instalment plans for increase. * Chasing customers in arrears. * Maintaining accurate records of customer verbal and written communications.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop whilst motivating themselves and others.
Please note: This is an office-based position - Due to the nature of the role, no remote working option is available.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English. * Have previous experience in credit control or administration, or as a customer service agent. * Have previous experience as a Telephone Collections Advisor or Debt Recovery Agent, with an * understanding of the financial sector. * Show clear communication and negotiation skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to empathise with customer circumstances, whilst ensuring excellent customer service. * Works well under pressure. * Be computer literate, with knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS and CCJ check before an offer of employment is made.
