ProQuip Ltd the golf outerwear clothing specialist are looking to recruit an experienced full time book keeper / credit controller to join their team based in Carlisle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for general bookkeeping, purchase and sales ledger processing using our Navision software, and credit control utilizing mainly Direct debit collections.

Position responsibilities

- Day to day processing of purchase invoices (small volume)

- Posting of bank payment and receipts and performing bank reconciliations

- Monthly direct debit collections and maintenance of direct debit mandates

- Weekly sales invoicing (circulate by email)

- Monthly sales ledger statement circulation (by email)

- Monthly accruals and prepayment calculations and processing

- Credit control procedures - full responsibility for collection of overdue debtor balances and credit control systems.

- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns

- Assist other team members when necessary (holidays / volume of work) with order processing, and other administrative and clerical support etc

- Ad hoc ledger reconciliations

- Internal KPI reporting

- Weekly sales reports.

- Monthly sales commission statement preparation

Over time it would be hoped that the successful candidate will progress to producing monthly management accounts.

Desired attributes / experience

- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office products - Excel, Word etc

- Navision experience would be an advantage

- Credit control experience and knowledge of Direct debit collection procedures and rules

- Experience of preparation of accounts to trial balance stage

- Experience of working in a small team
