Overview

The candidate will join the Debt Issuer Services team based in the City of London. Working with investment banks, law firms and restructuring advisors, the team helps to execute bondholder identification assignments and complex bond transactions. With an emphasis on liability management and debt restructurings, we work for international corporate and sovereign debt issuers. DF King is routinely ranked as the number one agent for such Liability Management (LM) deals.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

• To respond to investor queries, relating to corporate actions in debt capital markets (DCM) (access to offer documents, participation deadlines, options etc.), via e-mail and over the phone
• To keep relevant spreadsheet updated with the latest status of investor queries
• To support London-based staff to execute bondholder identification project and agency roles on LM and debt restructuring transactions, working with bond issuers, investment bankers and lawyers
• To assist updating a database of key contacts based on Working Group Lists of recent transactions and recent proposals
• To provide input and update marketing materials
• To deal with various admin tasks as and when required

Experience & Personal Attributes

• Experience in working within Financial Markets and specifically debt capital markets would be advantageous
• Understanding of DCM corporate actions and processes of European clearing systems would be desired
• Excellent attention to detail
• Diligent/conscientious
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills - this role includes outbound calling, therefore a clear, strong, confident communicator is required
• Strong Excel Skills
• Previous experience in corporate actions; debt restructuring and investor communications would be beneficial
• Additional Languages not required but advantageous
• Proactive, self-motivated, flexible with a can-do attitude, happy to work in a small team and dealing with many parties (colleagues, clients, intermediaries, investors) globally
