Assistant Credit Manager

Job Description
If you are looking to expand your career in credit management then BSS may have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking to recruit an Assistant Credit Manager to join the BSS credit team in Leicester reporting into the BSS Credit Manager. You will be working to execute sound collections strategies and procedures to maximise cash collections, minimise DSO and maintain an acceptable level of aged debt. The BSS Credit Team manages over 8,000 live customer accounts (which range from national customers to small sole traders), with a £multi-million ledger value. You'll employ resource planning techniques to manage workloads and optimise efficiencies, and performance management practices to build skills, knowledge and competence across your team.

In addition to the above, your technical knowledge of credit management and KPIs, credit risk and litigation and excellent customer service and communication skills will put you front and centre to resolve complex/escalated queries to help minimise the impact on collectability of debt. You will build strong relationships with and influence a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to ensure actions taken are understood and best practice followed.

To be considered you'll need;
ICM qualifications or to be studying towards them. To be an experienced credit professional with substantial experience of leading and managing teams to reduce DSO and aged debt. To be able to demonstrate commercial and financial acumen. To be people oriented and demonstrate strong leadership skills. A proven track record of performance and process improvement. Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret MI and drive change as required. A strong presenter who is comfortable delivering information to large groups of internal and external stakeholders.
